Information on upgrading some OnStar ® 5 analog/digital-Ready OnStar ® systems for generation 6 dual-mode (analog/digital), this newsletter is produced with the information and procedures for dealer personnel should the owner wish to update their OnStar ® generation 5 analog/digital-ready OnStar ® system to a system of generation 6 dual-mode (analog/digital).
Service procedure
Customers who wish to upgrade their vehicle system (analog/digital) dual OnStar ® generation 6 will need to purchase 3-year subscription to OnStar ®, surrendered. If they agree, they will have the right to update, which will be provided to them at no additional cost.
