2003-2005 Range Rover maintenance description

Below are brief explanations of the items on the Service maintenance plan. Only a qualified technician should perform work at the same time, in accordance with the procedures laid down in the new Range Rover Workshop Manual. Always use proper methods, tools, equipment and safety rules. Some additional details and specifications are provided in the instruction manual or Workshop manuals.
Reset Service Interval indicator
1. Check brake parking operation
Apply and release the parking brake and the check box for the proper operation of the vehicle on the gentle relief.
2. Control the operation of all of the lights, warning indicators and horn
Control all outer headlamp lenses for clarity and condition. Turn off page, head and tail lamps and control the operation. Check the turn signals and hazard flasher operation. Check brake lamp operation. Check horn operation. Check the operation of Interior courtesy light and all instrument pack warning and indicator light.
3. Check the operation of the front position lamps, rear wiper and washer systems
Operate the screen washer and turn off the wiper. Ensure the washer jets are correctly targeted and control for smooth, lubricating the wiper blades operate freely across the føreshus at all speeds including intermittent. Check the correct operation of the rear window washers/wipers and headlamp washers/wipers.
4. Control condition and safety seats and safety belts
WARNING:.Supplemental restraint system (SRS) airbags and safety belts tensioners should be replaced every 15 years
Check the operation of seat control and check the front and rear seat fasteners are tight and allows no seat movement. Control, rear seat catch locking bars are secured on the floor and shows no sign of movement. Fully Unpack each seat-belts and make it possible to return under its own Recoil mechanism. Check the entire length of the safety belt straps for signs of fraying or injury. Inspect seatbelt mounting bolt tightness. Check the correct operation of the safety belt height adjusters and orderly buckle tongue engagement.
