Preparation: – the ignition key should be in the OFF position. — The rear wheel Travel from the Earth by using a tripod. Make sure the rear wheel tours for free. – Remove the seat. The trick is usually available by raising the fuel tank or remove a side wind screen. Where the speedometer is driven front wheel sensor Coupler is normally in the projection of headlight bucket. 1. connect the speed Sensor clutch. Switch the instrument to DC 20V position. Connect the negative terminal of the battery black meter probe. Turn the ignition on. 2. in the first instance, identify Signal cord out of the 3 wires. Connect the Red meter probe to one lead in 3 p plug through the back, using a thin needle for back-testing. Rotate the rear wheel by hand. Signal wire is where level voltage regularly switches (e.g. 0V ? 5V ? 0V). If the voltage does not change as the wheel turns, you can try a different lead. 3. identify the power wire from the remaining two. Measure the voltage level on the remaining two leads. The voltage on the power lead should be + 5V to + 12V 4. Confirm that the remaining wire is Earth. Switch voltmeter to resistance or continuity test mode. Connect the remaining lead of 3 p plug through the back red meter probe of the instrument. The value specified should be approximately 0 ohms.
