Land Rover Discovery Series II missing Start – Passive Immobilization enabled

The VEHICLE can not CRANK after being UNLOCKED the customer may appeal to the occasional vehicle will not crank. This may be due to the non-NAS Passive Immobilization been inadvertently turned off in production or during repair operations.
If Passive Immobilization is enabled, the vehicle locks even if the ignition key is turned to place "II" or the engine does not start within 30 seconds of emancipation of the vehicle. With the ignition key in position "II", will the vehicle shows that it is in portrait mode by emitting the alarm LED continuously. Engine won't crank if the ignition key is turned in an attempt to start the engine.Resolution: replace BCU with new or RE-PROGRAMMED device
Disable feature Passive Immobilization, replace BCU with a new device to ensure that the correct installation procedure is followed. After contacting the LRNA hotline Alternatively, send the original BCU to Land Rover to be re-programmed and install the re-programmed device to ensure that the correct installation procedure should be followed.
THE REPAIR PROCEDURE
SYMPTOM CONTROL OF ACTIVATED PASSIVE IMMOBILIZATION
1. Unlocking the vehicle and wait a minute.
2. With the ignition off, verifying that the anti-theft alarm under the instrument pack flashes slowly.
3. turn the ignition key to place the "II" and check the alarm LED is on continuously. This indicates a permanent condition.
4. Check that Passive Immobilization is by trying to start the vehicle with the led indicator on continuously.
5. If the vehicle does not start, verify that Passive Immobilization is enabled as follows:
• Switch off the ignition and remove the key.
• Press the lock button on the plip once.
• Attempting to restart the vehicle within 30 seconds.
• If the vehicle starts normally Passive Immobilization is enabled. BCU to be replaced or re-programmed by Land Rover after contacting LRNA hotline.
