Land Rover Discovery Series II 3rd row seat functionality improvements
The customer may appeal of binding, improperly stored, noise when seats are stowed or other operational problems with the third row of seats.
Resolution: ADJUST or repair the component SEAT causing the problem
Several areas have been identified as a contribution to the operational difficulties with third row of seats. When a customer complaint has been verified and diagnosed, follow applicable repair process.THE REPAIR PROCEDURE
Note: If the seat is not horizontal before it is stored to the attacker, the seat will not ensure correct, and squab will not increase to the upright position. A fast action is needed for the seat, as the lock correctly. Ensure that there are no obstacles for the seat before operating. If necessary, advise the customer to refer to the owners manual for instructions.
REPAIR 1 – DIFFICULTIES LATCHING SEAT to the FLOOR and RAISE the SEAT SQUAB
Note: the word attack and accessories matte position may inhibit seat implementation.
1. Inspect latch to determine if any of the following conditions exists:
• Sticking or corroded the latch mechanism
• Faulty hinge mechanism
• Accessories mat installed
• Debris around the word attack
2. Protect the vehicle carpet to protect against lubricant spots.
3. If sticking or corroded the latch mechanism is determined to perform the following:
• Release the seat.
• Pull the seat away from the side of the vehicle and let it rest on its side on the floor (Figure 1).
• Manually Rotate the latch (located on the bottom edge of the seat) in the locked position (Figure 2).
• Lubricating mechanism of protection against over-spray.
• Drive twist-grip locking the lock.
• Return the seat to the stowed position.
4. If the lubrication process is inefficient, perform repair 2 and install a new seat latch.
