2005 Aprilia Pegaso Strada/Trail carbon fiber hand guards Installation Manual
ASSEMBLING RIGHT HAND GUARD 1. Lift the protective sleeve (A), release the nut (b) and remove the mirror from his home in block C. Unscrew and remove the bolt (d) and remove the anti-vibration weight e. 2. Perform the following operation with the greatest care and attention in order not to compromise the operation of the braking system. Unscrew and remove the nut (F), holding the brake lever in position. Unscrew and remove the bolt and screw in bolt 1, length 36.5 mm. Tightening torque for bolt 1: 5.1 ftlb (7 Nm). Verify the correct operation of the brake lever and front brake system. 3. Customize threaded Insert 2 in the (short) right bracket 3. Square 3 position as in the drawing, on the bottom of the brake handle support and tight partially self-locking nut 4. 4. Insert the GIF 6 in the upper hole in carbon fibre hand guard 5, place the hand guard on the bike and tight partly mirror block c. 5. Locate and secure the outer end of the hand guard 5 using anti-vibration weight E, distance bush 7 (mounted in housing for anti-vibrating weights), appendage 8 M6x50 and safety washer 9. Tight not bolt 8. 6. using bolt 10 and nylon washer 11, connect hand guard to bracket 3 previously assembled on the brake lever support. While tightening appendage 10, compress a little threaded Insert 2 against bolt 10. 7. Make sure that the hand guards are placed correctly, then firmly tighten all bolts.
