1992 Mitsubishi Mirage transfer remove & install guide

AUTOMATIC REMOVAL OF MODEL FWD
1) Delete battery and the battery tray. The 3000GT delete secret (s). The Eclipse turbo drain and remove intercooler. On all models, remove the air cleaner and the case. Improve and maintain the vehicle. Remove the wheel. Disconnect the control cables to the transaxle automatic gearbox. Drainage transaxle automatic gearbox fluid.
2) 1.6 l disable Mirage born. On all models, disconnect the neutral security switch, the oil cooler hoses electrical connectors and transaxle automatic gearbox. Disconnect the throttle control cable and a speedometer (if available). Remove the starter.
3) models Galante with electronically controlled suspension, remove the air compressor and brackets. Disconnect the front height sensor rod on the forearm.
4) on all models, remove the Upper transaxle automatic gearbox engine bolts. Remove the engine undercover (if available). On all models, remove the shafts of the actuator shaft. See FWD axis SHAFTS article in drive axles. Some less control arms from struts to access axis shafts (if necessary).
5) remove the front exhaust pipe (if necessary). At Eclipse, Galant 4WD 4WD and 3000GT, remove the right of members and gusset. Models 4WD individual transmission Assembly from transaxle automatic gearbox. Hyphen Assembly drive shaft and remove the transmission Assembly.
6) on all models, remove the cover transfer inspection (dust). Place the index mark on the torque converter and plate drive for assembly references. Remove the bolts and torque converter drive plate. Slide converter torque from the engine transaxle automatic gearbox.
7) support the transaxle automatic gearbox with Jack. Remove the screws fastening transaxle automatic gearbox, mounting brackets and remaining screws engine transaxle automatic gearbox. The slide Assembly to the right and reduce transaxle automatic gearbox for deletion.
Warning: make sure that the torque converter connected to a transaxle automatic gearbox before installation. Always install new snap rings on the inner constant connection speed.
INSTALLATION
1) for the installation, the removal procedure in reverse. Tighten the bolts to engine transaxle automatic gearbox and torque converter drive plate bolts specification. See table torque specifications at the end of the article.
2) make sure that the markup on the torque converter drive plate and transfer Assembly drive shaft alignment. Tighten the mounting bolts with the weight of the engine and transaxle automatic gearbox on mounts. Replenish liquid transaxle automatic gearbox to the specified level. Configure all of the cables and control cables.
