2010-2011 Volvo S80 driver? s air bag Clockspring connector Shim
Volvo said that it may experience an occasional driver's air bag clockspring wiring connector for supplemental restraint System (SRS). If this condition, SRS will be permanently illuminated, together with the following message in the Module information drivers (DIM) "air bag service required SYSTEM". If the condition occurs while driving, and if the driver ignores warnings, should an accident occur where required is to deploy the air bag of driver, the driver's air bag may not deploy as expected or not implemented at all. This poses undue risk to the safety of motor vehicles. Corrective action is to install a metal washer connector pipe air bag clockspring driver. This reference applies to vehicles of 9,746 in USA and 1,157 in Canada.
